NFL Week 2 Pick’em
Intro
Again just going to get the picks out this week with not a lot of analysis. Next week will be back to normal.
Game-by-Game Pick Breakdowns
Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals — Over 49.5
Burrow and Chase force explosive coverage rules, and Jacksonville’s offense is built to answer with tempo and play-action crossers. If either pass rush fails to finish, chunk plays stack fast. I project both into the mid-20s with upside.
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets — Bills -5.5
Allen vs. a Jets defense that can be elite… but Buffalo’s pace and 4-down aggression tilt margin. With the Jets on a short field offense profile, one or two Bills strikes can separate this late.
Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers — Steelers -3.5
A loud home spot and a front seven that turns third-and-medium into third-and-long. Pittsburgh’s scripted opener + field position edge is enough to clear a field goal.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins — Patriots +1.5
Catching a point-and-a-half in a divisional grinder. NE can shorten the game with underneath rhythm and red-zone stubbornness; this profiles as a one-score coin-flip.
Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals — Cardinals -6.5
Arizona’s tempo and explosives vs. a young offense on the road. If the Cards get to 24+, their pass rush can tee off and create the two-score window.
Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs — Eagles -1.5
Road favorite for a reason: trench edge + QB run game that stresses KC’s second level. If Philly stays ahead of the sticks, they control pace and possession.
Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings — Over 44.5
SNF dome game, two aggressive play-callers, and plenty of YAC threats. If either side hits 24, the Over has multiple outs.
Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders — Chargers -3.5
LA’s passing efficiency + MNF prep time. If the Chargers protect reasonably well, their explosive rate tilts this beyond a field goal.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Houston Texans — Texans -2.5
Home MNF opener; Houston’s offense can create explosives without perfect protection. A couple of scripted drives plus crowd juice should be enough to cover a short number.
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions — Over 46.5
Fast track at Ford Field, two QBs who can extend plays, and aggressive fourth-down math on both sidelines. Short fields = points.
